Academy Instructor Certification Course (AICC) | 09/18/2023 - 09/22/2023

Must currently be employed by a POST law enforcement agency and assigned to teach in the POST Basic Academy or Advanced Officer Training Academy. This course provides essential and required instructional and facilitation skills for anyone teaching in a law enforcement or public safety related training program. The course will certify the student to teach in the POST Basic Academy. The main goal of this course is to teach instructors how to become facilitators of knowledge to their students. The class consists of various group activities, ending in a teach back project where students present a Learning Domain to the class. Completion of this class does not guarantee you a position as an instructor.  If you are interested in becoming an instructor, you will need to complete the adjunct instructor process with the college and inform them which specific subject you are interested in teaching.

This course meets the basic training requirements for the P.O.S.T. Academy Instructor Certification Program (AICP) for law enforcement instructors.
