Firearms/Tactical Rifle Advanced (AR-15/M16/Etc.) EAST COUNTY TRAINING CENTER | 11/27/2023 - 11/29/2023

Must be currently employed by a law enforcement agency as a sworn peace officer and successfully completed a 16-hour P.O.S.T. certified basic rifle course or equivalent. This course is designed for sworn law enforcement personnel authorized to carry and utilize carbine rifles while in the performance of their duties. Students must possess a basic proficiency with their weapon prior to attending this course. Topics and practical exercises covered in this course include cover and concealment shooting, moving target drills, transition drills, reloading drills, varied shooting positions, shooting on-the-move, weapons equipment and practical accessories, and a legal and civil overview of lethal force use.

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT:
• All attendees shall arrive in duty uniform
• Duty Sidearm
• Semi-Auto Patrol Rifle w/ sling (we have limited supply to borrow)
• Minimum 3 magazines for both weapons
• *300 rounds of handgun ammo
• *1500 rounds rifle ammo (.223)
• Duty Sam Browne
• Ballistic Vest or Tactical Vest i.e. plate carrier
• Eye Protection
• Ear Protection
*RSD personnel will be provided ammo

ADDITIONAL SUGGESTED ITEMS:
• Hat with brim or bill
• Sun Block
• Snacks
• Water
