Peer Counseling OIS | 03/27/2023 - 03/29/2023

Must have successfully completed a POST-approved Basic Police Academy and/or are currently employed with a city, county, state, or federal law enforcement agency. Also, must have been involved in a police shooting (OIS) OR critical incident. This course was designed to provide counseling and peer support to personnel who have been involved in a police shooting incident (OIS) / critical incident. This course will address topics such as survival, isolation, depression, danger signs, myth vs. reality of stress, perceptual distortion, and moment of resolve.

Day 1: 1200-1700
Day 2: 0800-1700
Day 3: 0800-1200

All meals and lodging are included in the course fee and are based on double occupancy. If single occupancy is requested, there is an additional fee.
