Must currently be employed by a law enforcement agency as a sworn peace officer.
This course teaches the effective preparation and execution of search warrants. Topics include proper description of the area to be searched, building, and documenting the “Hero” section of a warrant affidavit, and effective documentation of probable cause. The class includes a practical exercise in which students prepare a search warrant in response to a simulated crime. This course should be taken in conjunction with Search-Arrest Warrant.
