Firearms/Tactical Handgun Adv (PSP) EAST COUNTY TRAINING CENTER | 10/12/2023

For Law Enforcement Officers only. An eight-hour course designed to allow students to improve their shooting skills and practice tactical decision making, while using their primary firearm. Students will receive some lecture on force options, case law, legal and moral issues and firearms tactics. Students will practice (live fire) tactically, using their primary firearm and using good judgment during a firearm encounter. Students will also practice decision making skills during incidents involving the use of firearms. This course will satisfy the eight-hour requirement of Perishable Skills Program training, as set forth by POST, for Tactical Firearms Training.

This course meets the P.O.S.T. Perishable Skill Training requirements.

• All attendees shall arrive in duty uniform
• Duty Sidearm
• 500 rounds of handgun ammo (RSD personnel will be provided ammo)
• Duty Sam Browne
• Ballistic Vest or Tactical Vest i.e. plate carrier
• Eye Protection
• Ear Protection
• Flashlight
• Cleaning Kit

• Hat with brim or bill
• Sun Block
• Snacks
• Water
